Last year, I obsessively began filming the season of Autumn, almost as to capture its essence before winter would come. I was awestruck with nature; how a a tree I could have just been documenting the day before, could be completely barren within hours. My dear Swedish friend Sabina, the narrator in the film, showed me some of Edith Södergran's work and it was then that I came across her poem "The Last Flower of Autumn". I fell in love with Edith's lyrical, yet dark imagery. It is to Edith Södergran that I dedicate this film. A women who in her short life longed and wrote of such life and color even in her suffering.
